The week has been a stressful one with the passing of a beloved teacher.

A redditor made me laugh by calling Gov. Pete Ricketts names.

It just intrigues me that there’s a “Nebraskans for the Death Penalty Group”, and Ricketts is giving shit loads of money to it.
“I’ve got 200k burning a hole in my pocket. Should I donate to the Sienna Francis House? No. People’s City Mission? Doctors w/o Borders? No. Ooh, this group’s stance is killing people. I can get behind that.” Fucking dollar store Lex Luthor.

Beer makes the world go ’round. According to redditor ZackLabel, “Heineken and Corona are more popular than Amstel. Laziza is a non-alcoholic beer that comes in different flavors and really shouldn’t be considered beer for the sake of this article.”

I don’t use Spotify and probably never will after learning about Sections 3.3 and 3.4 in their privacy policy.

3.3 Information Stored on Your Mobile Device
With your permission, we may collect information stored on your mobile device, such as contacts, photos, or media files. Local law may require that you seek the consent of your contacts to provide their personal information to Spotify, which may use that information for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy.

Why does a company that allows me to listen to music need to know who my contacts are, what photos I have on my computer or what other media files I have? I’m not going to ask my contacts for permission to give their information over to a company I don’t even use. I really hope my friends haven’t agreed to this either or my name and phone number is now in their database and I can’t control who uses it.

3.4 Location and sensor information
Depending on the type of device that you use to interact with the Service and your settings, we may also collect information about your location based on, for example, your phone’s GPS location or other forms of locating mobile devices (e.g., Bluetooth). We may also collect sensor data (e.g., data about the speed of your movements, such as whether you are running, walking, or in transit).

You don’t need my location to give me music to listen to. You also do not need to know whether I am running, walking, in transit or anything else.

Brian Krebs may have figured out who hacked Ashley Madison.

Police threaten two BBC reporters and increase my respect for law enforcement by zero points.

Two BBC reporters covering the police pursuit of Vester Lee Flanagan said that cops threatened to seize their car and camera if they didn’t delete footage of site where the Flanagan shot himself. “Was too far away to get any good footage. One officer threatened to tow my car and take my camera,” reporter Franz Strasser tweeted. “Watched me delete my one file, and let me go. Other officer apologized and said we have to understand.” His colleague, Tara McKelvey, filmed the encounter.
