Current playlist

For the past year, I have been listening to music with no lyrics because I couldn’t take the unintended triggers music I like was causing me. I made a new playlist today. If it doesn’t work, I will go back to the nice playlist a pirate friend of mine made.

There is no particular favorite, though I do identify with “Remember Every Scar” by Escape the Fate and “Battle Symphony” by Linkin Park, and “Little Things” by Good Charlotte the most at this moment in time. There is a range of music and I’m sure there is something for everyone in this list. I will continue to refine the list.

I’ve marked the playlist as unlisted on YouTube, so you will either need to click on it here and bookmark it for yourself if you want to come back to it.

I know John Fogerty did the original “Have you ever seen the rain?” but I absolutely love Joan Jett’s version. Alien Ant Farm’s version of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” is also much better than the original. I find Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years” extremely comforting and it’s one of the slower tempo choices on my list.

Songs I like 100 percent because of the lyrics include, “Battle Symphony” by Linkin Park, “Bored to Death” by Blink 182, and “Far Cry” by Rush. You hush there, Rush hater.

A Rush fan! Yes! And a choice cut from one of their underrated albums! Yes!

Also, if you haven’t heard it already, Cello Guys did a solid instrumental rendition of “A Thousand Years” that’s worth hearing if you like the song.

Thanks for sharing. Hope you’re well.

I had not heard about the Chello Guys. I’m going to have to go check it out. glad to be among other Rush fans. They get a lot of undeserved hate.
