‘Sup? Here’s a story about me.

On Saturday, July 7, 2018, Paul was driving east on 42nd Street. As he passed the hospital, he saw an animal wobbling across the road. He thought it was a squirrel and thought he’d better check it out. When he did, discovered a little kitten, about five or six weeks old, was nearly blind from the conjunctivitis and goop oozing from his eyes. Paul picked up the kitten and brought him home.

We took him to our veterinarian. In addition to the conjunctivitis, he also had an upper respiratory infection. We came home with a kitten and two medications. We named him Londo after Londo Mollari in the television series Babylon 5. He joins Puck, Harvey, Cinders in our home.

My cell phone takes terrible photos, especially when you have a kitten in pain that doesn’t want to sit still. This is what Londo looked like when we found him.

Because conjunctivitis is contagious, we had to quarantine Londo to the downstairs bathroom. One of our other cats, Puck, decided he wanted to pee against the bathroom door. So, we had to put up wee pads attached to flattened cardboard boxes to help deter that. Each time we opened the door, Londo peered out to see what was going on.

While the other three cats were elsewhere, we let Londo out to play. His eyes were beginning to heal, though they looked terrible right after receiving medication.

Puck, right, wasn’t sure what to do with the black ball of energy that invaded his house.

Harvey stares down Londo, letting him know this is his perch. Londo will climb up, whack Harvey’s tail and take off running.

Londo got better and better. He now picks up pieces of lint, dust, and whatever else is lying on the floor with his face.

My friend Sandra dropped by for a visit on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 and played for two hours with this ball of “OMG I am never going to stop moving, jumping, and climbing.”

Holy Crap! Look at those claws.

I promise you Londo is not on the nip here.

I love this shot of Londo.

Attack mode engaged.

Londo likes to chill out with us humans when he has finally worn himself out.

The ways Londo’s eyes look are the way they were. I didn’t use a flash. They were still healing, but he can see well through them.

Londo likes to watch Formula 1 with me. He gets distracted during pit stops.

We’re all in for the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix.

EDIT: Right after I made this post, Londo did this. Apparently, I own a spider cat.
